Bio You can saddle me or bridle me
You can put a chain around my neck
You can laugh or dock my tail
But my spirit you'll never break.
I'm not a toy to be modeled for fashion

This poem is pretty much how my soul is inside and how I feel about all living things.
My name is Heather M. Elmore, I'm 24 years old and have been a freelance equine artist for over 4 years. I have sold original and commission paintings to people in all 50 states and in a few foreign countries. I use LJ as a form of release from the stress of everyday life. I find that typing about things helps me deal with them. I also love meeting new people, since I'm mostly a loner in real life...I like having friends that I can talk to but not see everyday. I'm not mean that way, I just get nervous when I'm around a crowd. I like the quite of nature instead.
I live on a small farm in Roane Country, WV with my wonderful Husband Shane and 4 year old son Damon. We share our lives with two horses Chase and Comanche, 2 boston terriers Luke and Dayzie Mae, a Great Dane Jack, and two cats Thumbs and Azriel.
When I'm not painting/drawing/sketching...I'm out horseback riding or playing with my dogs. I love being outdoors, I find it is the greatest inspiration. I also like to help out animal rescue groups when I can and I like to help out animals in need when they come my way.
I'm a believer and follower of Wicca. It is a natural way of life and thinks of us all as being connected to the earth. Even though I'm Wiccan I don't like to press my beliefs on anyone. I just ask that you respect my beliefs and in return I will respect yours.
If you want to add me to your friends list go ahead...I'll add you back :) Doesn't matter who likes you or doesn't like you. As long as you are kind to me I will be kind to you. If I add you chances are I have posted in your LJ and asked permission. That is the way I believe in doing things. I rarely add someone I haven't asked first. If I have asked to add you it is because I find you to be an interesting person that I would like to get to know. Artist, it isn't only because of your work but because of what I read in your journals. I probably feel that you are a nice person that I would like to get to know better and/or feel that you have alot of the same views and interests.
